https://rcsdevelopment.org/index.php/edutrend/article/view/324

This research investigated how the rapid shift to online learning platforms in Algerian universities has exposed a critical gap in students' digital dexterity skills. It aimed at exploring students' weaknesses in navigating limitless online resources. Data from a survey administered to 150 students and interviews with 12 university teachers disclosed key areas where students struggle. The findings revealed that in spite of the recent blossoming of online education in Algeria, our students still experience major weaknesses regarding digital dexterity. Also, the findings highlight the need to move towards a pedagogy of abundance to equip students with the skills to access information and to critically evaluate online content. Empowering teachers to integrate digital literacy development within their teaching practices is another crucial action to take so as to bridge the digital dexterity gap and ensure students can thrive in this information-rich online learning environment.
Dallel Sarnou

https://rcsdevelopment.org/index.php/edutrend/article/view/279

This classroom research is motivated by the learning outcomes of third grade students at SDN Kebagusan 02 which still need to be improved. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects on the material of changes in the properties of objects at SDN Kebagusan 02 Pagi. This research method, using a class action method with a cycle system while the learning model is a demonstration method where the teacher demonstrates or shows something in front of students, which is done inside or outside the classroom. The results of this study are that the pre-cycle or completeness meets the KKM 24.42%, in cycle I completeness 64.28% meets the KKM, and in cycle II it meets the KKM 100%. Based on the results of observations, it can be concluded that the demonstration method learning model of science subjects’ changes in objects in class III. As for other data related to research and student work results as in the appendix. Finally, the researcher suggests to all teachers to be creative in presenting learning, especially in using props and media that are interesting and varied so that they can bring students in a pleasant learning process and complete student learning outcomes can be achieved.
Cecep Maman HermawanHestiLalita Shafa AnjaniSyifa Fitri Fuadah FuadahIrfan Abdul GaniOkta Rosfiani

https://rcsdevelopment.org/index.php/edutrend/article/view/333

Artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly empower women and promote gender equality globally. However, to effectively utilize AI to promote women's empowerment, it is crucial to comprehend its influence, possibilities, and difficulties comprehensively. This study examines the various aspects of how AI contributes to the advancement of women's empowerment. It explores the extent to which AI is integrated into initiatives aimed at empowering women, the perceived impact of AI on women's empowerment on a global scale, and the obstacles women face in accessing AI opportunities. An integrated research methodology, including surveys and literature evaluation, was utilized to collect data from a diverse sample of 88 people. The results indicate a substantial degree of AI incorporation in projects aimed at empowering women, with varying perspectives on the impact of AI. Additionally, the study revealed difficulties in accessing AI opportunities and observed differing levels of knowledge among women. This study highlights the significance of ethical issues and inclusive policies in utilizing AI to promote women's empowerment. The findings provide significant knowledge for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners who aim to utilize AI's revolutionary capacity to promote gender equality and empower women globally.
Hafizullah ShahbaziMusawer HakimiHelena UlusiBehnaz RahimiTamanna Quraishi

https://rcsdevelopment.org/index.php/edutrend/article/view/340

This study focuses on the design and development of student worksheets based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) principles aimed at enhancing students' mathematical problem-solving skills. The research adopts a design-based research methodology, involving iterative cycles of design, implementation, analysis, and refinement. The RME approach emphasizes the use of real-world contexts to facilitate meaningful learning and engagement with mathematical concepts. The designed worksheets integrate realistic scenarios, encouraging students to apply mathematical reasoning in practical situations. Preliminary testing with a sample group of middle school students indicates significant improvements in their problem-solving abilities, as evidenced by increased performance in solving complex mathematical tasks. The results suggest that RME-based worksheets are effective tools for promoting deeper understanding and practical application of mathematics. Future work will involve larger-scale testing and further refinement of the worksheets to ensure their efficacy and adaptability across diverse educational settings.
Anggita ManggarraniNafida Hetty MarhaeniAgeng Triyono
