APLIKATIF — Journal of Research Trends in Social Sciences and Humanities
ACCEPTED MANUSCRIPT CATEGORIES
APLIKATIF: Journal of Research Trends in Social Sciences and Humanities welcomes original scholarly work in the social sciences, humanities, education, and related interdisciplinary fields within its Focus and Scope.
The journal accepts two principal categories: Original Research Articles and Review Articles. These categories describe the nature of a manuscript’s scholarly contribution; qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches are research approaches, not separate article types.
01 / EMPIRICAL RESEARCH
Original Research Articles
Original Research Articles report findings from an original empirical investigation that addresses a defined research problem. They may use qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods approaches, including surveys, experiments, case studies, interviews, observations, field research, and empirical historical inquiries.
Expected scholarly features
- A clear research problem or question, its significance, and engagement with relevant scholarship.
- A transparent account of research design, context, data sources or participants, collection procedures, and analytical methods.
- Findings supported by appropriate evidence and critically discussed in relation to previous studies.
- A stated contribution, acknowledged limitations, and conclusions proportionate to the findings.
02 / RESEARCH SYNTHESIS
Review Articles
Review Articles critically examine and synthesize existing scholarship to clarify, reassess, or advance an area of inquiry. Eligible approaches include systematic literature reviews, scoping reviews, critical or integrative reviews, and narrative reviews, provided the approach is appropriate to the review objective and yields a meaningful analytical contribution.
Expected scholarly features
- A defined review objective or guiding question and a justified scope.
- An explanation of how literature was identified, selected, and examined, with transparency appropriate to the review type.
- Critical synthesis of themes, patterns, debates, strengths, limitations, or research gaps rather than an article-by-article summary.
- An explicit conceptual, methodological, theoretical, or practical contribution supported by the synthesis.
03 / REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS
Common Scholarly Standards
Regardless of category, a manuscript must be original, relevant to the journal’s scope, supported by credible scholarship, and clear about its contribution. Methods and analysis must suit the stated objective; claims must not extend beyond the evidence presented.
Authors must follow the Author Guidelines, applicable manuscript template, and the journal’s Publication Ethics and AI Use Policy. Detailed formatting, citation, and reference requirements are provided in the Author Guidelines rather than repeated here.
EDITORIAL CLASSIFICATION
Selecting the appropriate category
Authors should select the category that best reflects the manuscript’s main scholarly purpose. The editorial team may request reclassification when appropriate and conducts initial screening for suitability, originality, scholarly contribution, and analytical adequacy before peer review.
Manuscripts that pass editorial screening proceed in accordance with the journal’s Peer Review Process. Selection of a manuscript category does not guarantee acceptance.
